Around the world, May 1st is a poignant date, albeit admittedly not always for the same reasons: for aviation enthusiast, for instance, it marks the traditional aerobatic season-opener by the Frecce Tricolori, who kick off their season on the home turf.
A tradition that was sadly interrupted by the COVID emergency, but that will luckily resume in 2022, as if to undescore the pandemic grim peak’s overcoming.
In just a few hours, I will again be standing close to the runway to capture this doubly symbolic event simbolico, and I can’t hide how thrilled I am!
